Sebastian

Having first studied Civil Engineering at Imperial College London, I then moved to Utrecht to study Global Sustainability Sciences, and am now studying a masters entitled Sustainability Sciences, Policy and Society at Maastricht University. My main time is, however, spent working as a rowing coach for the university rowing team, M.S.R.V. Saurus. I am the head coach of the team, coaching around 60 rowers and 20 coaches. I also coach a few exceptional talents, training to compete for the Dutch and Belgian national teams, with aspirations of Olympic and Paralympic Games. I work closely with the Dutch National Rowing Federation, notably working on improving Pararowing in the country with recent results including: a silver medal at the 2025 European Championships, a gold medal at the 2025 World Cup in Varese, and another silver medal at the 2025 World Cup in Lucerne. 

I have studied and followed national sports accreditation programmes to have certain certificates and diplomas in the sports environment.  

The British Section and the Lycée International taught me how to juggle many different projects and priorities at once, all whilst aiming to achieve the best result in every project.  

The next steps would be to move to a country where the weather is warmer, whilst continuing to pursue my passion for rowing and sports, whilst trying to blend in some sustainability policy within it.
