A Lesson in Drawing Bears!

CE1 pupils learn to draw bears with author and illustrator David Litchfield

On October 16th, the CE1 classes (UK Year 3) enjoyed an online visit from illustrator and author David Litchfield as part of their work on his book ‘The Bear and the Piano’. David talked about his work with the pupils and gave them a drawing lesson on how to draw a bear. The pupils were then able to ask him questions about his stories and his craft.

David is a regular visitor to the British Section Primary pupils, and we are lucky to have a permanent reminder of his work thanks to the ‘The Bear and the Piano’ mural he painted for us in the playground of our partner school Ecole Félix Eboué, Le Pecq and in the Primary building on the Lycée International site in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
