Maternelle 1 / Petite Section (UK Nursery) Application Details
Native-level English and French students are enrolled in a French “Ecole Maternelle” (‘Ecole du Secteur’) for the French portion of the programme, then once a week attend British Section classes. Children who enrol in this class must be native English speakers with an age-appropriate vocabulary.
Estimated spaces available for 2027-28: 12 (all externé places)
Eligibility
- Age: Candidates must normally be born in 2024 to enrol in this class (3 years old)
- Level of English: Applicants must possess age-appropriate native-level English (spoken and comprehension) to be considered for this programme.

Application Fee
The non-refundable Application Fee is 160 €.
Registration Fee
The non-refundable Registration Fee is 1 500 € per child plus an advance on Tuition Fees of 500 € per child. The latter will be deducted from the Annual Tuition Fees invoice issued in September of the year of entry.
Annual Tuition Fees
- 2 027 € per annum (reduced rate, if family paying)
- 3 821 € per annum (standard rates, if employer paying)
Timeline
- December 1 2026 - January 8 2027: pay non-refundable admission fee of 160 €
- January 15 2027: last day to complete online application forms
- May 2027: testing
- May/June 2027: acceptances sent

As pupils enter Collège, there is greater subject specialisation and a drive towards increasing autonomy. The British Section curriculum runs in parallel with the French national curriculum, reinforcing pupils’ ability to move seamlessly between two pedagogical traditions and methodologies.
